The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sequoias hosts several special events throughout the year. The events raise money for our Clubs and programs and recognize Club members’ achievements.

Event sponsorship gives companies, foundations and individuals a high-profile opportunity to support and improve the lives of our city’s young people. Our fundraising events have captured headlines in recent years for their innovative themes, special guests, success and attendance of area business and civic leaders.

We have several events to consider for sponsorship:

• World Ag Expo Food Booth - February 14th - 16th, 2012. We grill and serve some of the best tri-tip meals at the Expo. The event is fun and fast-paced and most of all - delicious! 
• Starlight Ball Dinner Auction - A formal black-tie dinner auction with live entertainment and dancing.Feb 11, 2012 Memorial Building, Exeter
• HarvestMoon Social Swirl - Will be held September 16, 2011 at the Visalia Convention Center. If you attended last year's event, you know: This isn't your grandmother's fundraiser! Social Swirl is a top-notch event with an emphasis on good food, good wine and good intentions.
• Sequoia Foodie Fest: - The two day event promotes the diversity of California's agricultural commodities. Our theme, 'California's Most Delicious Adventure', showcases local celebrity chefs in cooking demonstrations and contests in Kitchen Stadium throughout the weekend. • Ruiz for Kids Fiesta October 21, 2011 - we are honored to be selected for this event and are looking for sponsors.

• Comix 4 Kids - Tulare Sunrise Rotary will be held March 31, 2012
• Annual November Thanksgiving Feast: Held the week before Thanksgiving. In 2010 these event fed over 2,000 people in the communities of Farmersville, Exeter and Porterville. We need help with side dishes, set up and serving at the Club sites.

DONATE A VEHICLE, BOAT, RV OR TRAILER

The Car Program LLC allows you to donate any unwanted vehicles, operational or not, to the Boys & Girls Club of the Sequoias. Just call our office and we will make all the arrangements to have the vehicle picked up at no cost to you. Seventy percent of the proceeds from the sale or scrapping of the vehicle then go to the club for the kids and you get the tax write-off!!

THE S.H.A.R.E.S. CARD PROGRAM

Donate through your local grocery store. The S.H.A.R.E.S Card program is easy to use. If you already shop at Save Mart, why not have those purchases serve to support your local Boys & Girls Club at the same time? Save Mart will give 3% of your total purchase to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sequoias. Use your SHARES card when you shop and the donation will be made in your name at NO COST TO YOU!

DONATE YOUR ELECTONICS

Bring your old obsolete electronics to our upcoming Electronic Recycling Event. We will recycle the following free of charge: TV’S, computer monitors, and lap tops. All proceeds will go to fund programs for the Boys & Girls Club.

DONATE YOUR TEXTBOOKS

Donate your college textbooks and recently released novels. We can turn your books into cash. Drop off your donated books at any of our Boys & Girls Club locations: Exeter, Farmersville, and Porterville.
