Our Featured Board Member: Gary Herbst

WE WOULD LIKE TO TAKE A MOMENT TO RECOGNIZE GARY HERBST, WHO HAS SERVED ON OUR BOARD AS TREASURER FOR ABOUT 15 YEARS NOW!

Gary Herbst has resided in Visalia for the past 28 years, where he and his wife raised their two children, Kevin and Kelly. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Kaweah Delta Health Care District and has been with the organization for 28 years.

He is passionate about servant leadership—helping lift others up while living a humble and grateful life. He gives his financial resources, time, expertise as a CPA, and experience as a leader to his organization and community!

Gary became inspired to share his many talents with the Club when he came to know some of his children's friends who faced many adversities and challenges. Gary said, "This experience greatly influenced my desire to help give kids an opportunity to witness and experience the goodness in life that can come from being a part of an organization like the Boys & Girls Club."

"We help develop outstanding young people in our community who go on to be wonderful, responsible, caring and productive adults; we keep kids active doing good things and keeping them out of trouble and temptation; we teach them new skills and encourage them to believe in themselves and invest in themselves."
