Our Featured Staff Member: Cinthia Ibarra

WE WOULD LIKE TO CONGRATULATE CINTHIA FOR BEING AWARDED 2018 DIRECTOR OF THE YEAR! 

As Site Director of Burton Middle School Club, Cinthia Ibarra continuously goes above and beyond for her Club Kids. She runs a national BGCA program called Junior Staff, wherein members must apply and interview for their position. Cinthia adds rigor to the program; members must attend Junior Staff meetings, help around the Club everyday, and fundraise. As a reward for their hard work, Junior Staff get to tour various UC campuses.  

Recently, Burton Middle School Club kids took a trip to UC Santa Barbara! Junior Staff worked to fundraise for the trip, and ended up taking a total of 11 Club kids to tour the university! Exposing our kids to colleges not only familiarizes them with the campus, but it motivates them to do better in school and aspire for a greater future!

Because of Cinthia's engagement and commitment, Club Members have the opportunity to prepare for university attendance and young adulthood. We are thankful for her hard work and dedication!
