BOYS & GIRLS CLUBS OF THE SEQUOIAS AWARDED $5,500 TO FUEL VISALIA YOUNG PEOPLE’S BOLD AMBITIONS

Visalia, CA (August 9, 2022) – Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sequoias received a $5,500 grant from the Taco Bell Foundation to support more than 20 youth in the Visalia community. The funds will go toward career exploration, job readiness and other programs that educate and inspire the next generation of leaders. 

“It’s a privilege to partner with the Taco Bell Foundation in educating and inspiring young people nationwide,” said Galen Quenzer, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sequoias. “Together, we are working to break down barriers to education for future leaders.” 

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sequoias is one of more than 400+ youth-serving organizations that will receive a portion of the $7 million in Community Grants presented by the Taco Bell Foundation this year. The grants are an example of the Taco Bell Foundation’s mission to break down barriers to education and fuel young people’s boldest ambitions.

Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sequoias is focused on helping all young people, especially those who need us most, become responsible, caring and productive members of society. Boys & Girls Clubs were established in Tulare County in the 1990’s when Exeter and Visalia community leaders responded to the need for a positive place for local youth to spend free time after school. Today, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sequoias provides services at 15 Clubs throughout Tulare County.
