WE WOULD LIKE TO TAKE A MOMENT TO RECOGNIZE SCOTT PRATT, WHO HAS BEEN ON OUR BOARD FOR THE PAST 10 YEARS! OVER THIS TIME, HE HAS BEEN BOARD PRESIDENT, BEEN ON SEVERAL COMMITTEES, AND IS CURRENTLY ON OUR EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE.

Scott is a self-employed farmer who works in Tulare and Visalia. His company, Pratt Farm Management, farms 1200 acres of walnuts and employs 17 people full-time. He is husband to Asha Pratt and father to three children—Sam, Charlie, and Parker.

The Pratt Family is very involved with not only our Clubs but service in general. As a family, they enjoy spending their time serving people of all walks of life. One way in which they serve the Club is by volunteering every year at our World Ag Expo Tri-Tip Booth. Scott & Asha work inside the booth preparing meals while their kids help outside with customers.

Scott is also a big advocate of the Club. He is always talking about the Boys & Girls Club with his friends, family, and customers, discussing new ways for us to reach out to the community. He finds that whoever he is talking to eventually ends up involved with the Club at some point, usually by volunteering their time or sharing their skills.

Scott said, “We feel good about sponsoring and supporting specific needs in the Clubs and also appreciate and trust that our money is spent in the areas most in need. Personally, we feel like the Club is our family and look forward to many years of working together for the greater good of the community.”

“We as a Club must never stop growing and looking for new ways to serve, especially during these crazy times. Our staff has proven themselves and risen to the challenge; they have continued to pour themselves into the kids and reach out to them however possible. The staff is so strong from top to bottom. This is what gives me the confidence to invite others to be a part of such a special organization,” said Scott.

Our BGCS Family would like to thank the Pratt Family for sharing their talents and kind-hearted spirit with our Clubs for the last 10 years—and counting!
